Growing

KNOWING GOD’S WORD

We want every Christian to grow in their love of the Lord and become more and more like Jesus.  A key way that we do this is to gather together as a church to hear and respond to God’s word. Our Sunday sermons follow a term-based teaching series.  Past sermons are available for free download via our website, or ordered on cassette tape or CD for $2 per sermon. To order, contact the church office.

Home groups

Our home group program typically runs in parallel with the sermon series, using a bible study booklet prepared by the ministry team to complement the sermons. Home groups are a core part of our church life, because in these groups we wrestle with the deep truths of the Bible, we pray, and we support and encourage one another in our lives as Christians. Home Groups meet each week during school terms on Monday-Thursday evenings, and there are also women’s groups that meet during the day.

Christianity Explained

Christianity Explained is an informal course for people who’d like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus is, what he did for us, and what it means to follow him.

There is no charge for this course, but registration in necessay.  Please contact the church office to register.

Confirmation

Confirmation provides an opportunity for a person to make a public declaration of their faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. For those baptised as children, it is an opportunity to confirm the promises made on their behalf in baptism. Candidates are prepared for Confirmation by exploring what it means to be a Christian, how we're to live as a follower of Jesus, and are equipped to take responsibility for their own adult Christian lives.
