Local Mission

St James wants to share the message of God’s forgiveness through Jesus with Turramurra and beyond.

 

 

TRAINING IN SHARING YOUR FAITH

We want every Christian to be prepared ... to give a reason for the hope that they have. (1 Pet 3:15). We offer regular training courses in evangelism to equip and encourage pepole to share their faith. We also offer periodic seminars to help answer tough questions about the Christian faith. These resources are also available from the website.

 

PRAY - CONNECT - SHARE

We want every member of the congregation to be active in promoting the gospel to their friends and neighbours. We do this by praying for them, looking for opportunities to connect and build relationships, and showing them and sharing with them what it means for us to trust in Jesus.

 

HEARING THE GOSPEL ON SUNDAYS

Through our regular preaching on the Bible, there are opportunities for people to hear and respond to the message of God’s forgiveness through Christ. We aim to have at least one service per term where the message of the gospel is particularly clear and compelling, with an opportunity for people to make a response to the claims and promises of Jesus.

 

OUTREACH EVENTS AT CHURCH

We have regular outreach events during the year to which members of the congregation can invite their friends and neighbours.
