Staff

 

Michael Stead is our Rector. Michael oversees all the congregations of St James and has a particular responsibility for our ministry to families and children, especially the 9.00am Family Service. Michael is married to Felicity, and they have three children, Calvin, Verity and Nathaniel. Email: rev.stead@stjamesturramurra.org.au.

 

Robert Jones is our Senior Assistant Minister. Rob has been at St James since February 2000. He comes to the parish with more than 30 years of ministry experience in Mosman, Earlwood, Denistone East, Marsfield and Lindfield. He is married to Janine, and they have two adult daughters. Robert ministers at our traditional services at St James and at Church in the Chapel.
 

Sturt Young is our Assistant Minister and has a special responsibility for the Sunday Night Church, 7pm congregation. He is married to Emma and they have three children: Brynach, Taliesin and Anwyn. Email: syoung@stjamesturramurra.org.au.

 

Margaret Hutchison is our Pastoral Assistant. Margaret is working closely with Robert in developing our Seniors’ Ministry. Marg can be contacted at the church office on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on (02) 9144 4090.

 

Bruce Tasker is our Family and Children's Minister. Bruce looks after a team of Sunday Club leaders who teach our children, aged from pre-school to year 5.

Teri Kempe and Robin Dunn

Teri is our Office Manager and Robin is our Parish Secretary.  The office is open between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday. Ph: (02) 9144 4090.

 

Stephen Calder is a Senior Assistant Minister responsible for our associated congregation, Bobbin Head Anglican Church at North Turramurra. He is married to Sandra and they have five young children, Charlie, Liam, Nathan, Joel and Noah. Email: stephen@bobbinheadchurch.com.au.

 

Belinda Burn is a Ministry Worker working with our associated congregation, Bobbin Head Anglican Church at North Turramurra. Email: belinda@bobbinheadchurch.com.au.

 

Anne Leask has been the Parish Assistant for more than twenty years. She visits people who are sick, housebound, lonely or bereaved, and helps to keep the Rector informed of needs among the frail and elderly within the parish.

 

Canon John Butler takes the Communion Service at 10.00am on Wednesdays.

 

Rev Peter Harnwell is our Honorary Deacon.
